My Review :
Every year there is at least a couple new or upcoming artists who capture the right mood or sound that fans have sought out. In 2009, Fashawn and Exile have taken the scene hostage. The uplifting mood and tempo in a dying industry is pretty unique and is a good starting point. After a couple spins, I have to say Fashawn is one of the few youthful artists left in hip hop with great potential. This album has a fresh sound thanks to his personal style and honest rhymes. Exile produced the entire album and the sound comes off fresh. The samples sound original, the cuts are fresh, and he allows Fashawn to go on with his life stories without being a distraction. Fashawn's flow is very polished, and for a 20 year old kid he has a lot of knowledge. This is definitely the best release in 2009 and I don't see anything topping this unless there's a magical Rakim return to his prime
